the end of production: Devlog #9

Now we are finished with the production, and our game is more than playable. It feels nice (though it still needs some tweaking here and there), it looks beautiful, and the sounds fit well. It still isn't finished, but we are getting there. With a bit of tweaking, fixing small bugs, and adding some polish, our game will finally be totally ready.

Jonas finalised the map, it is almost fully finished now. A bigger part of the final stages of the map was the sorting so everything is getting rendered behind of in front of the right things. He also made some changes to the asset tile map to make it easyer for the collision and sorting.

Warre made the final changes to the title screen this week and made the other screens such as the game over screen and the player selection screen. In the final week Warre will make some tweaks here and there but will be most of all focusing on sounds and polishing assets.

Ramses worked on:

Enemy Spawning: tweaking the enemy spawning mechanisms to ensure a balanced and challenging gameplay environment.

Animations: Enemy Animations: Enhancements have been made to the animations of our enemies

Player Animations and Respawning: The player now respawn on few different spawn points, which is totally random.

Bug Fixes: Several issues related to animations and sound effects have been identified and resolved

Game UI Enhancements: The user interface now fully integrates health, ammo, and score displays

Jan worked on adding sounds implenting the title screen and game over screen. He also added interactivity with the titlescreen, you can start the game but also quit. in the game over screen you can see the total score of the team but also the individual scores  of  the players. After finishing the begin and end screen he fixed some small details like the direction the player aims is now restricted to test if this is better and the player  is now looking to where he aims.
